1.0 Introduction

This page will tell you how and why Ampersam Studio collects and uses your data; understanding how important your privacy is, I am fully committed to protecting it. I promise your data will always be treated with the utmost respect. It will never be sold, rented or leased to any third parties, ever. 2.0 Collected Information

Ampersam Studio will, at all times, comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). You can read more about GDPR and data protection on the ICO website. Ampersam Studio will only collect and processes your data if I have a legal right to do so. Ways of which we would collect your data are detailed below:

2.1 At times collecting your personal information is a necessity. Your name, address and either a phone number or email address are needed to fulfil projects that have been commissioned by my clients. Emails and/or phone numbers are required to follow up should there be any updates I need to give to clients regarding their projects.

2.2 Addresses, e-mail addresses and/or phone numbers received as part of an enquiry are only retained as long as the enquiry remains open and the information is deleted 28 days after the enquiry is considered closed.

2.3 If legally required, in order to comply with the law, I may, under very rare circumstances, need to release data about specific individual(s).

2.4 As referenced in 1. Introduction, your personal data will never be sold, rented or leased to any third parties.

3.0 Sharing your data

At times I need to share some of your personal data to third parties in order to best fulfil my commitment to you and my clients. These third parties are outlined below:

IT and Digital Support Services/Software – those who support the efficiency, maintenance and hosting of my website and emails;

Email Marketing – only if you’ve given consent to sign up to MailChimp, my chosen email marketing platform.

4.0 Cookie Policy & Use of Browser Cookies

4.1 What are Browser Cookies?

Internet Browser Cookies are small data files that are stored on your (the user’s) computer whilst visiting a website. They vary in their use from core functionality of CMS (content management systems) and e-commerce carts to tracking the amount and types of users visiting a website. They are also used as a ‘memory’ store, for example; on re-visiting a website a user won’t have to re-enter information, preferences or log back in.

4.2 Why would you want to remove Browser Cookies?

Some users may not want to give up personal information. There are also scenarios where if cookies aren’t implemented properly then users may be open to security vulnerability and ‘hackers’.

4.3 Types of cookies I use

Google Analytics/Performance Cookies – these cookies allow me to analyse how anonymous users use and engage with the site. They allow me to learn how you arrive on my website, for example; from social media, and how you navigate through my site. Functionality Cookies
These cookies allow the website to function. These cookies include my content management system that maintains the website and security I have in place to protect the website from hackers and bots.

Marketing/Advertising Cookies
These cookies allow me to market and advertise my website online through channels such as Google, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. They help to ensure that any ads are suitable for you, your interests and allow me to measure how successful my campaigns have been.

4.4 How to remove Cookies from your browser?

Step 1. Confirm that you’re running version 5 or later of Apple’s Safari browser, and then click the Gears menu in the upper-right corner of the Safari window. From there, select Reset Safari. In this window, check the bottom box, ‘Remove all website data’.

Step 2. Check the bottom box, labeled Remove all website data. You can uncheck everything else if you want to remove only cookies.

Step 3. Click the Reset button to eliminate all cookies associated with Safari.

5.0 Protecting Your Information

Ampersam Studio has made appropriate efforts to ensure any information saved with me is safe and secure. I have also ensured that any third parties as referenced in 4. Sharing you Data, are of a high quality and are well-respected industry leaders in their field and/or when appropriate, GDPR compliant.

6.0 Your Rights

You have a lot of rights surrounding your data and how it is used and processed, and I will support you in those rights.

Information Held
You have the right to request the information that may be held about you at any time. Please note I only hold information I feel is essential in delivering and offering you the best possible online experience and/or supports the growth of my small business via marketing and advertising.

Data Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data held at Ampersam Studio at any time. Providing the information is no longer needed in order to complete a project commitment with you, your information can be removed from my systems. An exception to this would be if I were required by law to hold your information for legal reasons. If this is the case you will be notified.

Data Updating
You have the right to contact me to update and/or correct any of your personal information I may hold about you at any time.

Data Objection
Whilst I feel there are viable reasons for processing your data, you can still object to the use of that data either in part or in full. However, please note some data is necessity for me to fulfil my contract with you and your objection in its processing may result in being unable to fulfil my commitment to you as a client.

Right to Complain
If you ever have concerns about how I handle your information you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). I seek to improve my processes regularly; this may result in changes to the privacy policy and/or terms and conditions. I may email you about these changes if you have opted in to my mailing list.
